Love, Joy, Peace...
Welcome to Formosa Baptist Church

Join us as we seek to know God and make him known!

Know God, Make Him Known.
To truly know God is to love him and to desire to point others to him. So, we believe that ministry is a two-way street. It is vital to our spiritual growth and development to not only be ministered to, but to use our God-given spiritual gifts and wisdom to minister to others. We seek to provide opportunities for every age group to not only be spiritually fed and ministered to, but also to spiritually feed and minister to others.
What We Believe
Our statement of faith is the Baptist Faith and Message 1963. You can view a PDF of our statement of faith below.

What to expect at Formosa
God-Centered Worship
Our worship services aren't flashy, polished performances. It's not about us, it's about God. At Formosa Baptist, we believe in discipling our own people to lead God's people in worship, so some of our musicians are newly recruited and still learning, while others have been leading worship for many years. We sing a mix of contemporary worship songs and classic hymns, whatever helps our people express their worship to God!
Biblical Preaching
We believe the Bible is God's Word and the primary way that God has revealed himself to us. Because of that, we place a heavy emphasis on expository preaching--preaching that explains what the Bible says and helps to apply it to daily life. At Formosa, you can expect sermons to be rich with Scripture, deep in theology, and practical for daily life issues.
A Multi-Generational Congregation
Young, Old, and everything in between! Formosa Baptist is truly an intergenerational congregation, with a mix of young families, empty nesters, and senior adults. We have thriving youth and children's ministries for every age and offer nursery and children's church services for young families. But, crying babies don't bother us, either! So whether you're pushing a walker or a stroller, there's a place for you here!
Be yourself
You can be yourself at Formosa. We've got blue collar and white collar workers, business owners and farmers, medical professionals, teachers, and college students. If you want to wear your Sunday best, you're welcome to do so! But if you prefer to dress more casually, you'll fit right in as well. You'll find a mix at Formosa.
